Goga officially launches the tourism information app "Megurutto". A smooth trip to filming locations in Ayase City

Ayase City in Kanagawa Prefecture has started providing tourist information to the tourist information application "Megurutto" developed by Goga.

This app is a service that allows tourism operators to provide general travelers with content such as spot information, coupon distribution, and stamp rally. You can deliver content (still images and YouTube videos) with a 360-degree view like this.

"Megurutto" has been providing information on Chichijima and Hahajima since February as a demonstration experiment in cooperation with the Ogasawara Village Tourism Bureau, but this time it has started collaboration with Ayase City as an official service for the first time.

Since 2014, Ayase City has accumulated a track record of attracting filming through the public-private integrated organization "Ayase Location Service". Along with this, in recent years, the number of tourists visiting the city for the purpose of "pilgrimage" to the filming locations of TV dramas and movies has been increasing. Signs are placed in various places. Under these circumstances, we started providing information on "Megurutto" for the purpose of providing tourist information efficiently.

"Megurutto" includes information on restaurants where you can taste local specialties, focusing on spots that have been used as filming locations for movies and TV dramas. We also have a model course for pilgrimage to filming locations.

A model course around the location is also included. You can grasp the position of each spot on the map. It is easy to grasp where the spot is in the city. In particular, for spots with location signboards, the icon is designed as a clapperboard (props used in filming movies), so you can see the location at a glance.

By tapping the icon, you can check the detailed information and business data of the spot, and at some spots such as Ayase City Hall and Koaya Park, 360-degree images unique to "Megurutto" are recorded. Since the standard map application starts when you tap the address of the detailed information, you can also use the navigation function of the map application.

Furthermore, in the Ogasawara demonstration experiment, there were no stores where coupons could be used, but this time coupons were prepared for the first time to offer discounts and gifts at restaurants and shops. In addition, there will be a stamp rally where you can play around the spots.

Detailed information on spots You can check recommended spots in a list where coupons can be used at restaurants and shops. At the food and culture festival "Ayase Base Side Festival", a press conference was held by Goga, the developer of "Megurutto".

At the press conference, Goga's Akiko Sasaki said, "Functions such as coupons and stamp rallies that could not be used in the Ogasawara demonstration experiment will be available in Ayase City this time, so this is the function of 'Megurutto'. It will be the first case of full utilization."

In addition, another point that has evolved since the time of the demonstration experiment in Ogasawara is that the app now supports multiple languages. Currently, it supports eight languages, including English, Chinese, and Korean, and it is designed to automatically switch languages in conjunction with the language setting of the smartphone. Also, in the iOS version, the scale is now displayed when zooming in and out of the map, making it easier to grasp the sense of distance. In addition, the list also displays marks that recommend recommended spots for tourists.

Filming location signboards installed in the city Shiroyama Park (Hayakawaba Ruins) where the remains of a medieval castle remain And many people visited this year as well. This time, "Megurutto" also participated in the same event, and flyers introducing the app were distributed at the venue.

“I would like to take this opportunity to first use Megurutto from the locals. We would like to further brush up the service,” said Mr. Sasaki, speaking of his future prospects.

After the press conference, when I actually used "Megurutto" to visit several tourist spots in the city, I found it to be a very useful tool for efficiently visiting the signboards of filming locations. Historical sites and gourmet information are also recorded, so if you go to see the location and check the surrounding spots, you will find unexpected discoveries. Especially for first-time visitors to Ayase who are unfamiliar with the area, simply tapping on the icons while looking at the map will give them a rough idea of what the city is all about. In the future, it is expected that the stamp rally will start and further information will be enriched.
