Microsoft releases patch for Windows 7 / 8.1 as an exceptionOn March 22 (local time, the same applies below), Microsoft released an update program that fixes a problem with the printing function of Windows with a fixed exception. The target Windows version and the corresponding patch are as follows.
Released on the 18th for Windows 10. Some versions are delivered as optional updates from "Windows Update", but in other environments you will need to obtain a standalone package from the "Microsoft Update Catalog" and install it manually. It is not essential, so you do not have to force the installation in a trouble-free environment.
This month's security patch had a bug that caused a blue screen (BSoD) error when printing, and an emergency patch was released on the 15th to address it. However, in each patch, many phenomena were reported in which the print result was different from what was intended, and the company was busy dealing with it. The second patch, which was pre-released for Windows 10, did not report any major issues, and the series of problems has now been resolved.
