January 26, 4th year of Reiwa Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and FisheriesThe Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is making efforts to foster and disseminate various agricultural support services (*) that support the work and management of farmers. As part of this, in order to deepen the understanding of agricultural support services in the region, we will hold agricultural support service events "Prefectures x Agricultural Support Services" at four locations nationwide. Since this event will be distributed online, it is possible to participate from outside the host prefecture.
1. Overview
At agricultural sites, due to the aging of agricultural workers and the decrease in the rural population, the labor shortage at agricultural sites is becoming more serious, especially during the busy farming season. It is necessary to secure a labor force to replace employment and to externalize work. Under such circumstances, it is important that various "agricultural support services (*)" become widespread in each region as services that support the work and management of farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will hold events in Niigata, Toyama, Kagawa, and Kagoshima prefectures to introduce the efforts of agricultural support service providers who are active inside and outside the region in order to deepen their understanding of agricultural support services in the region. * Services that support agriculture, such as outsourcing of harvesting work and drone spraying, sharing of agricultural machinery, supply of human resources to agricultural sites, and data analysis services that utilize smart agricultural technology.
