Bosch collaborates with Ford and Bedrock to demonstrate "fully automated parking"

On August 26th (local time), Bosch, Ford Motor and Bedrock will utilize Bosch's smart infrastructure system and network within Bedrock's "Assembly Garage" in Detroit. announced the start of a demonstration project in which the Ford Escape test vehicle drives and parks itself.

This will be the first infrastructure-coordinated solution in the United States for automated valet parking, in which vehicles automatically park within a parking lot. Demonstrations are taking place in the Corktown area, home to Ford's new mobility innovations, centered around Michigan Central Station.

 This district will attract mobility innovators and disruptors from all over the world to solve urban transport challenges, improve mobility access for everyone, and develop new solutions to prepare for a world that is increasingly networked and automated. It is expected that development, demonstration, and launch will proceed.

 The demonstration is being held on the ground floor of the first residential redevelopment project "Assembly Garage" in the Corktown area by real estate developer Bedrock. The project embodies Bedrock's vision of combining new and historic buildings with the latest technology in parking and mobility. The company is also working on the recently installed first automated parking lot in the Midwest, which automatically parks vehicles entering from the basement and automatically returns them.

 The automated valet parking technology will be demonstrated for tenants and private demonstrations of the "Assembly Garage" until the end of September.
