The accuracy of the noise cancellation is quite high, and the sound of the vacuum cleaner, the sound of the TV, and the type sound of the keyboard are clearly erased.Not only your own noise, but also the other person's noise will be deleted at the stage of output to the speakers and earphones, so it can be avoided because the noise is noisy and the voice is difficult to hear.

How to install KRISP

In this article, we will introduce how to use KRISP, taking the MacOS version as an example.When you install KRISP and start it, the icon is displayed on the taskbar as follows.In the case of the Windows version, it will be resident in the task tray.

Click the icon to see the following pop -ups. Press the [Get Started] button.

The web browser is launched, and you need to log in to the KRISP service as follows.At this point, there is no need to set up user information, and you can use it simply by registering an email address.You can also log in with a Google account.

When you register your email address, you will see a screen that enters the following 6 -digit authentication code.The authentication code will be sent for the registered e -mail address, so enter it here.

KRISP user authentication is based on the procedure of entering the email address → authentication by code in this way, and does not require a password registration.

If you succeed in code authentication, the app will display a dialog that selects the following apps as follows.

If you select one web conference app you want to use, you will play a video that explains the setting method as follows.By the way, this dialog does not mean that the actual setting is made, so you can use the other web conference applications other than the selected.

How to set on the web conference application side

Set the web meeting app side according to the video description.For example, in the case of Zoom, you only need to select "KRISP SPEAKER" or "KRISP MICROPHONE" in Speaker and Microphone in the audio settings.If you want to apply noise cancellation to your voice, set "KRISP MICROPHONE" to MicroPhone, and if you want to apply noise cancellation to the opponent's audio, set "KRISP SPEAKER" in Speaker.Of course, both can be KRISP.

In the case of Microsoft Teams, in the "Computer audio" settings of the Web conference, select "KRISP SPEAKER" or "KRISP MICROPHONE" for the speaker and microphone as follows:

In the case of Google Meet, you can start a web meeting and select a microphone and speaker from the setting menu.

Basic usage of KRISP

Once you have set up the Web Conference app, return to the KRISP app and click the [Next] button.The setting is completed when it is displayed as follows.Click [Got it] to start the app.

If KRISP is successfully connected to the Web Conference app, the taskbar icon will have a green check mark badge.If you click the icon in this state, the following pop -up will be displayed.

The web conference application currently connected is displayed on the arrow part.The microphone and speaker devices you actually use can be changed in the red frame.Both microphones and speakers can switch the enabled / disabled noise cancellation function with the [Remove Noise] switch.

Click "Test Noise Mute" displayed in the microphone to check the operation of the noise cancellation function.The following dialogs are displayed. Click [Start Recording] to record 15 seconds of audio.It's a good idea to mix and record on purpose.

When the recording is completed, switch to the next screen and play the recording audio.Listen to the original sound and the sound when noise cancellation is enabled.

Now, when you start the Web Conference app with the KRISP connected, the following small window will be displayed.Not only the taskbar icon, but also this window can be switched / disabled of noise cancellation.

You can also record a web meeting

KRISP comes with a recording function as well as noise cancellation.The recording can be started by clicking the red [Start Recording] button from the pop -up of the taskbar icon.

When you start recording, the following warning will be displayed.The content is confirmed that the participants will be released to the public, and the recording will be saved in the cloud, as will be announced to all participants, and the recording will be saved on the cloud.Click the I Understand button to start recording.

Stop recording can be performed from the pop -up of the taskbar icon.The recorded audio file is stored on the cloud as in the warning.When the recording is stopped, an online storage where the audio file is stored as follows in the web browser is displayed, which can be downloaded, deleted, and set the public range from here.The default public setting is "Private" (private).

If you want to refer to the files recorded in the past, click the three -point icon on the upper right in the pop -up of the taskbar icon and select "My Recordings" from the menu.

A cloud storage is displayed in a web browser, and you can check the list of audio files that have been recorded so far.
